There is no one better place to make your purchase. Choices vary and number of retail outlets vary according to where you live. Shop around if you are physically able to, talk to the sales people and see whom you feel comfortable making your purchase with.
-The cost of the flooring pr sq ft is only part of the total cost of the job.
-You will also need to purchase underlay, depending on what type of floor is underneath where the new is going. Underlay is sold also pr sq ft.
-Then there is the installation cost, which can also vary from one seller to the next, how soon the job can be done, and possible sales and promotions.
The standard starting point for installation cost is double the price of the flooring.
Be sure to ask if removal of anything that needs to come out, moving furniture out and back into the room, and garbage removal, (cardboard boxes, plastic, etc. ) is included in the "installation" written price quotation, or if it will be extra cost.
When we built our house we used Carpet Land, they were so good to work with! Right now they have free removal of carpet and free installation. I hope there is one in your area! Good Luck!
