I had this issue...it happened on my beige microfiber sofa and I though I'd have to have it professionally cleaned. In the meantime, I used an oxygen cleaner solution and a soft cloth. First I blotted the stain over and over, then rubbed it, rinsing the cloth often until it rinsed clear. Then I blotted with a clean cloth to dry it out a bit and waited. You'd never know that there had been a stain there!
peroxide foam rinse redo al little dishsoap and light scrubbing - it works but takes a little time.
I have used a Qtip & applied hydrogen peroxide. Larger area's, I use a cotton balls. Sometimes I just use dõTerra Essential Lemon Oil. I love how well my dõTerra Oil's work for just everything .
Repeat if it doesn't all go away the firsttime. Good luck, Sweetie.
I removed red wine stains from fabric by mixing small equal amounts of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide, making a paste and applying to stain with tooth brush. Brush mixture on fabric and then let it sit for a while and rinse. It should work for blood stains also.
For dried blood:
Make a paste with 20Mule Team Borox laundry detergent (available at Walmart) and gently scrub with a bit of water. Rinse and if still there, repeat until gone, then launder in the washing machine as usual.
Do not use hot water on fresh blood, as it could set in the fibres.
Hello, Here is a site that tells you how to use hydrogen peroxide to get out set in blood stains. I have been wanted to try it on one I have but i am out of peroxide right now. Hydrogen peroxide will remove the color of some materials. You did not mention what the fabric was, but if it isn't white, I would think twice about applying it without testing an hidden area first. It will also turn your skin white, as it is drying, so wear gloves when working with it.
