How do I remove salt stains from bottom of jeans
Traipsing around in the snow I got salt stains on the bottom of my jeans. I wet them and scrubbed with a brush but when they dried there was still some stains there.
I would soak with baking soda. Never use bleach as it weakens the fibers, especially in old or antique linens. Here are some links for you.

Use an oxygenated powder like OxyClean or Awesome Orange. Pour one capful in a sink filled halfway with water and let it soak.

Hi Anita, hope this helps you out. Soak the doilies in a mixture of hot water and a gentle detergent. Rinse thoroughly and allow them to dry in the sunshine. Or, add ¼ cup hydrogen peroxide to your soap and water and let soak for 6-12 hours. Adding Borax to your water often will brighten and take out the stains. Use a diluted lemon juice to make the stain “damp”, sprinkle with salt generously and lay out in the sun. Dry flat.
Soak in a Bio Wash powder till stain comes out.
Oxyclean.
Soak in warm water and soap. Let them dry in the sunshine.
Those are normally delicate so I would hand wash. Soak if needed. Use a gentle, cold water detergent. Make sure it does not have any bleach in it.

Soak in baking soda and Dawn for several hours. Rinse to get all the soap out.
Hi Anita, hope this helps you. Soak the doilies in a mixture of hot water and a gentle detergent. Rinse thoroughly and allow them to dry in the sunshine. If the stains remain, and you are willing to risk some damage, add bleach to the mixture and repeat the process again. Commercial stain removers applied directly to the stains may be effective.
Oxyclean works great, you can get the dollar store version of Oxyclean for a lot less and just as good.
