Susan Hartline on Mar 10, 2014silicone caulk.it is also paintable. spackling gets dry and hard and tends to crack. never use it for window or door repair.just walls!Helpful Reply

Lee Gamble on Mar 10, 2014SILICONE caulk is the correct product to use, but pure silicone will not accept paint - make sure IF you are needing to paint the repair, to see if the product says "paintable". I will often use pure silicone to fill around a window to seal, allow to dry, but then top off with a paintable caulk...Helpful Reply

Window Universe on Jun 18, 2014You should have a professional come out and repair your window. I always tell people to check with the original manufacturer or the company whom installed the windows to see if they are still under warranty, because a lot of times they are and will repair them for you!Helpful Reply
