Under bed storage boxes can be useful, hanging shoe bag on the back of the door for tank tops and smaller articles of clothing.
Utilize the space under your bed, put up shelves along the perimeter of your wall to store books, clothes, etc. Here is a link with lots of ideas:

Folding and Organizing Clothes Drawer to Make More Room
do you have room under your bed to make/purchase under bed storage? I have a 9 section cubicle I bought from thrift store & use it for clothes. Hung 2 thin curtain rods on it, put solid color curtains on it & no one knows the wiser. And .... it looks nice and is prettier to look at than a dresser.
If you have room under the bed for storage boxes that would be a way to rotate seasonal clothes; fold what can be folded, and utilize extra hanging space [vertical] in the closet by putting in another rod for hangers -- most closets have a huge amount of wasted space!
Keep your seasonal clothes your not currently using in "Space Bags". They work great and can be stored anywhere. I stack them on the bottom of the closet. You could easily put many of them under the bed as well.
Have you tried adding a drawer assembly under your bed? They come in a soft sided drawer that maybe enclosed by a zipper or wooden versions like a dresser drawer on wheels. Depending on the type of bed you have and if both sides are accessible you may be able to install 2 or four drawer that will cover 1/2 of the bed area each.
I agree with the under-bed storage! It's such an underutilized area!
Can you fit a free standing wardrobe? That will add drawer space and hanging space. Home Depot sells them as does Walmart. You can purchase storage zip up collapsible cubes from QVC for seasonal things like sweaters and heavier pants and store under bed.
