A narrow walkway, made from pavers, lined with perennials or small evergreens.
Depending on the amount of sunlight it gets, I would make a path that has gentle curves in it , plant some varieties of ornamental grasses and dwarf lavender. Maybe also some trellises with smaller vining plants like montevilla that blooms of creeping fig that has interesting leaf texture. Maybe come colorful pots for flowers

Just some inspiration. Walk ways and dry creek beds require less water and maintenance. I've found stone and rocks on craigslist for free. It can take more time to gather what you need that way, but it's budget friendly if you don't have to drive too far.
