Removing Nasty Toilet Stains
shut off the water, use a brush over the entire inside to loosen deposits, periodically turn on the water and flush. The final sedament in the bottom stir as water is coming in, hold the flapper open to flush it straight out. Repeat as necessary. Likely will be iron stains that will not come out this way.
Pour some white vinegar in it for awhile, or you can buy a bleach tank tablet but don't repeat often as it wears out the flapper part.
Drain it out and use Lime Away and a pumice stone. Let the Lime Away work by itself first and wait a half hour or 15 min. before scrubbing.
