Sorry about that. I'm located on Vancouver Island which is on the west coast of Canada and very near Washington state.
If it gets really cold, like it does where I live (idaho) put a piece of tin around the bottom and add some mulch or leaves fro the winter, That is what most do here, and slo what the green house suggests to do.
just cut them back they should be ok
pruning before the winter is best!
