wardrobes in every bedroom, , and dressers.
If you have an extra bedroom (or a very large laundry area), you could use it as a whole-family walk in closet. Put all the dressers and wardrobe armoirs in one place for the whole family to use.

Build them. I took 36x24 kitchen wall cabinets and attached to the ceiling and wall. Attached bifold doors to the bottom of the cabinets. This was for a wall-to-wall install. For a closet that does not go wall to wall, use a piece of plywood for the side(s). The big box stores will cut them to size. Nail a 1x1 on the floor. Nail the plywood to the side of the wall cabinet and the 1x1. Paint or stain. Good luck.
you can make your own closets easily (if you have the space to do so) either by framing in the space or by having an open closet system. You could also investigate actual wardrobes...habitat for humanity or second hand stores may have pieces available that only need a little TLC to make them fit for your decor
been there! i bought metal closet sets from a home shop like Home Depot etc.
IKEA has some very nice wardrobe furniture.. some have organizers and accessories... use in spaces on either side of a window or bed...
... you could also use under-bed drawers or storage.
