"Provide moderate to deep shade or indirect light. Spider plants don’t need a ton of natural light, so they do well in bathrooms and bedrooms. They also thrive in windowsills, though they should be set about 12 inches (30.5 cm) away from south-facing windows during the spring and summer months."

I have mine hanging with no sunlight in my office. The other one at home is in a place with indirect lighting.
I live in dry Colorado and spider plants thrive in my house. Use indirect light and don't overwater it.
Bright window. That and occasional watering is all they need.
