Hair spray is water soluble. You just need to be mindful of how much water you can put on your floor. You may have to take it up in layers. Any good soap or detergent will be helpful.

I think I would soak a towel and lay it on the floor. Give it time to soften up the hairspray and then wash it up. You really don't need strong chemistry for this, just elbow grease and time.

Magic Eraser! That's my "go-to" for most jobs like that.

Nail varnish remover+ water, but beware you don't take off pattern too....
    Have you tried Wet Wipes?

One cup of lemon scented ammonia to one gallon hot water. I use it to remove wax and built up grime on my vinyl tile floor once a month.

Rubbing alcohol works on my tile floors and I don't think it would hurt linoleum floors. I guess you could test it in an inconspicuous spot first. Put it on and mop it around and let it sit for 20 min to break the hairspray down. Mop up then rinse.

I use either lemon ammonia, or Awesome Orange from the Dollar Tree.

I'd use a good sponge, warm water with vinegar. Rinse & repeat if needed. Best of luck.

Will give some of these a try. I also had tried baking soda and vinegar and with alot of effort it seemed to work, but I was careful not to leave it on ,and think if I left it longer it might be good, but feared it would damage the linoleum if left too long.
