Oh I wish I could find those old strings of christmas lights! They work wonders to keep fruit trees from a late frost. Just string the lights in the tree and when the weather reports a late frost, turn them on. They give off enough heat to save the blooms. And look pretty too.
I have some from the 1940s,. You can't do much, they are fire hazard's on a tree, real or fake. Maybe one of my team mates can come up with something.
Christmas lights are not just for Christmas any more! They can be used to illuminate a backyard patio, use them to highlight features in your yard, take the guts out of the lights and use the pm as forms for paper mâché or cement or Christmas irnaments
Oh I would love to have them. Wow!
Here are some fun ideas for both the string of lights and the large bulbs. I love the Christmas light bulb wreath. You can also make statement by isolating, say, red, white and blue bulbs or create a rainbow by putting sections of all one color, followed by another color, then another color to create a rainbow effect. https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=repurposing+old+christmas+lights&qpvt=repurposing+old+christmas+lights&FORM=IGRE
