As long as the floor is even you can put the vinyl on top
As long as the floor is even it will be fine
You must fill and level all the grout lines, otherwise they will definitely show on the vinyl floor, do it also for wood flooring.
We put down Domco free floating sheet vinyl on top of 12"x12 " square ceramic tile. Domco is made in Canada and it's perfect for putting over tile. It doesn't need glue or any attaching, and you DON'T have to fill any grout lines in the old ceramic floor! It's easy clean, soft, cushiony and we love it. We got it at Home Depot/Lowes in U.S. You can buy a small piece, lay it over your tile & see if you like it.
