The room is 13x18, with angled ceilings. I have a 15in rod to lower ceiling fan from the roof.
They are screwed on. Easy to replace. Have a friend with you as always better to be extra safe when doing ladder work. Or do the phone a friend thing. Call someone before and after - if they do not hear from you in a specified amount of time, they need to come look for you.
I believe they just screw on, but you would have to take the fan down first and then put it up agaiin. That means dealing with electric wires and it's not an easy thing to do

No need to remove the fan. Take Naomie's advice. You will need to use a step ladder. Do not stand on a chair. Have a friend over for coffee. The blades are screwed and bolted to the fan bracket. Easy to remove. Usually three screws. Good luck.
