Is it ok to dig my cannas up now?

Im in western PA, and we haven't had a hard frost yet, but anxious to get my cannas dug up before weather changes for the worse. Do you think it's ok to dig, even before hard frost? Also my elephant ears?

Yes, Nancy, you can dig as much as you want. Dig now, before the ground freezes. It would be much area. The kannas, usually are stored in the basement thru the winter, and yet, they can be left in the ground, this is depends on what you want. I know of folks, who do either way. Remember, this will be a diff. winter, so we must remember this, too. J.
