Pallets- where can I get them?
I've been to 2 Home Depots in my town and neither would allow me to take even ONE- where is everyone in the DIY WORLD GETTING THEM?
From a trailer plant or a place that sells golf carts.
Look on Craigslist
You will have to open the ceiling if it is closed off - not other way.
Hi, I live near a large car dealership and they can’t wait for people to come and take away the pallets. They are usually around the back where the mechanics work on the cars. and they are all free.
Check with big box stores and grocery stores. Many of them throw them away after their deliveries. Be careful to get ones that are safe to use as projects, especially indoors - most of treated with dangerous chemicals.
I've gotten mine at a local grocery store and hardware store. Yes, they were free! Sometimes, all you need to do is ask. :)
All depends on where you live. Lots of places give them away for free, but where I live they know how in demand they are so they charge. Here is a link to learn about what to look for when choosing pallets. Look behind markets, malls, any store that receives items in bulk. Also Craig's List and any local advertisement avenues you have.

I saw a TON of pallets at a tile and flooring store (in the back). I have no idea what they do with them, but if you don't ask, you don't get!
