Try a tree wall decal and hang the pictures from the branches https://www.dresslily.com/tree-branch-pattern-background-wall-sticker-for-bedroom-livingroom-decoration-product1469039.html?lkid=1746468&gclid=Cj0KCQjwyvXPBRD-ARIsAIeQeoHR3YjPZ0asfuu-RPFm0i7Om75KTr7C9ApjZqRZcxoJF3cCUGNZvMUaApoPEALw_wcB
Hi Susan, if you're going to get rid of the corner cabinet, why not use the doors from it for your frames, length wise or side by side, across the back of your sofa.
Just a thought,
Have fun!
I think they are too close together. Try spacing them out a bit to balance them so they don't look so clustered. Adding another element like in this link would help:

Once you move the cabinet, you will have more perspective on how things will look when arranged.... to add more interest.... how about some vintage or interesting mirrors (yard sales, thrift shops, etc)... cut out the shapes from cardboard, brown paper, etc arrange them and pin up with push pins (teeny holes that will cover up with just a swish of paint) Take photos of each arrangement to find the one you like the best.... then hang every thing with the proper hardware. A very (6 inch or less) narrow shelf or several smaller shelves would probably work best above a sofa so anyone sitting there won't bump them .
I'd mount those lovely pictures on large white mats in larger black or wood frames, all different sizes, then spread them out creating a wonderful gallery. Best of luck.
Buy a larger mirror. It will "seat" one side of your picture display. Then use the size of the mirror to place your pictures.
Be careful of shelves over couches. It is an optical illusion and makes people duck even when their heads are nowhere near the shelf unless you pull the couch away from the wall the width of the shelf.
The reason the grouping looks small is because all the items are too close together, as someone else also observed.
Spacing them with more blank space between, above and below them will give the illusion of a larger grouping. Also by doing so, the light switch will become less of an issue because the up/out/over placement will avoid it.
