You should price out the option of replacing the siding especially if you are planning on letting a professional do the prep and painting.
You would have to have a paint that adheres to metal, is heat and weather resistant, and has its own guaranteed seale. Make a photo of the receipts, cans, and labor charges, as well as closeups of your house every year. Keep all the data in a safe place, and use the guarantee if you need it. I suggest Rustoleum and professional paint advice and labor. From a reputable paint dealer, of course. 😇
"There are a lot of outdoor paint that will paint the siding very nicely. Several of my neighbors have painted theirs and they look great.
Our neighbor owes a paint store. They painted an old single wide trailer with good old latex paint and it still looks good several years later. The key is to prep the area so the new paint has a good surface to grip on or hold on to.
