Goof Off, Goo Gone, WD 40 will all soften up the glue that holds labels on jars and cans... Just use them outside with good ventilation
Baby oil or mineral oil. Then wash with dishwashing soap
I soak in vinegar or use WD 40.
Use goo-gone or one of the many products like it. Depending on how sticky you may have to repeat the process. Basically either directly pour goo-gone onto the sticky area, or apply goo-gone to a clean rag and wipe the rag over the sticky area. Let it sit for a few minutes then wipe it off with a wet rag. If the area is still sticky, repeat the process.
rub ant oily substance on the area and leave on until it is soft enough to be able to clean the residue
Cooking oil and salt. Rub till residue lets go. Wash as usual. Still food safe.
vegetable oil is a good one to try, soak and wash and soak again. i have even used sos pad. some glues are hard to break up.
