We have horses and use the containers for feed. Some horses need different additional supplements in their feed so we put their name on a can and he/ she always gets feed in that one prepared daily.🐎🐎🐎🐎
I use mine to put ant poison in and one for fertilizer because the bags are too heavy to carry. You can also make a birdhouse by cutting a hole in the lower side leaving a small lip for a bird to sit on before going into the house (or cut a small hole big enough for a twig to insert and glue into the hole for the birds to sit on) and use it for a birdhouse. Paint the can whatever color you like and have the lid on it. You can do it to where the lid is on the bottom if you like, then drill a hole big enough for a knotted rope to put in the bottom side up to use to hang on a limb. I'm thinking that I would put a couple of spots of glue on the lid though so that the weight inside won't drop the babies and mom out if there is any weight. I haven't tried this but have saved some plastic folgers cans to try. Of course, you can do this with metal ones also. You can find it on Pinterest.
Another thing I've done is use the plastic ones and cut it into a scoop shape to use for dog food and such.
They are great for storage. We use them to store like minded things. Example, in the garage put hinges in one, loose screws in another, etc.
cOokie storage.
