I just need to add the filter on it. But I try my best with my limited tools but I can not get it off because it is so tight. Any idea and let me make it off easily. Thanks

Buy a pair of Channel-lock pliers. You can purchase them fairly cheaply at Sears or Harbor Freight. Put a wash cloth over the chrome to stop from damaging your fixture. Turn it counterclockwise, remember “Righty Tighty, Lefty Loosey”. I know it’s silly but it helps me to remember!😊

t here is something called liquid wrench. Spray it on, let it sit a while. There could be some corrosion, this might help loosen it. WD40 may work too.

Hi there, a large pair of channel lock pliers with a long handle to give you leverage would be the easiest way to remove it. You can wrap a towel around the part you'll be grabbing on to so you don't scuff the finish any more too.

Love Kim's suggestion. "Righty Tighty, Lefty Loosey”. Counterclockwise to loosen, clockwise to tighten. You will need two channel locks/pliers. One for the pipe and one for the shower head. My question is why would you be installing a filter on a shower head? Never seen that!

Thanks William. I got a water softener this week. So that, I hope I can add it on it

Interesting concept, adding a filter to the shower head. How would you do that and why? With a water softener system already installed I would think a your existing unit would work fine. If not, why not just add a new unit with a hand held hose for cleaning purposes? Best of luck.
