1st paint a fun color. Then hang floating shelves above the washer. Make or buy fun washroom signs to hang on the wall
Add a shelf above the machines for laundry supplies and hang a shower curtain on a rod and viola!!
paint the whole area under the stairs (ceiling too) a fun color like turquoise.. or use a fun wallpaper... . put in open shelves like the ones made with galvanized pipe (you could also put in a rail of galvanized pipe on the front area of the stairs and use it to hang just dry clothes) There are some really nice containers for "laundry" soap, etc... if you need more light a battery one could work
Buy a mural of a beach scene put it on a wall that you face the most then put an old painted window frame in front of it. Viola you're at the beach!
Measure where lid comes up & get adjustable shelf brackets & hang & cut shelf length & hang shelves & do side wall for one shelf for ironing stuff. Since its open put up rod across front & hang curtains. Good luck.
Add a statement color of paint to the back wall, add a shelf and tension rod and hereโs a few photo ideas to help try your project ๐๐
