Rustoleum spray paint, giving them two lights coats allowing them to dry in-between. Seal them with a clear UV sealer
Latex paint. Only use water base paint or stain on clay or stone items. Oil base paints will peel more easily.

I just use craft acrylics paints and then use a spray on outdoor polyurethane.
it’s been my experience that painting clay or plastic pots, even when using paint specifically for clay or plastic that the paint doesn’t last more then a year or so before the paint starts chipping or flaking off! It isn’t a paint and your done forever thing. You’ll have to strip and repaint every year or so if you want your pots looking nice? You may have a better luck finding a stain that will soak into your clay that will last a lot longer if not forever? Worse case senreo you just wipe them down with another coat of stain in the future to freshen them up a little!
I have painted quito a few and they look beautiful at first, but a few months down the line when the paint starts coming off then they don’t look nice any more! Oh and yes my pots are all prepped for painting nice clean and sanded when necessary as the paint directions require! Unfortunately it just don’t hold up over time! Pretty much like anything else we paint, sooner or later it has to be repainted!
Hi Sondra. I have used acrylic paints, and also Rust-oleum paint for outdoors. It is holding up great and has been outdoors for 4 years.
I've used spray paint in several finishes - shiny, textured, stone-finish, etc. They all came out great.
patio paint. You get it at the craft store
