Removable fencing or other ideas???

I have a cat that has gone blind after 12 years of being outside. No longer able to go outside on his own, but still insisting, I need an idea that will work for fencing to put around my lanai so he can come and go inside and outside as he wishes. I live in a deed restricted community so it can not be a fixed fence or idea. A "catio" house will not work as he does not want to be contained and will cry all day if put in something. Problem is while I work all day, he is locked inside so sleeps all day and then stays up all night crying wanting out so we are not getting any sleep. He has to have some outdoor time that will allow him that liberty is used to but keeps him in safely while I am gone. And has to be 4 feet or higher. Any ideas?

Are you allowed a dog kennel? They come in different sizes. I use a 10x10x6 & it has a door. You can buy a roof for it. If you get the one with brackets at corners you can make it 20x10 but roof won't work for it. You set it against the house & leave one panel off so cat can come & go if you have pet door to set kennel up to it. If you have a tractor supply co close to you theirs are the cheapest. There is fancy ones & etc. Good luck.

What would be considered "fixed"? I put a fence around a small area of my yard using those green metal fence posts that you hammer into the ground and green woven wire fencing (from the big box stores.) It was easy enough to do myself, easy to remove when you no longer need it, not expensive. And it's not really highly visible. My fence was only 24" high because I have small dogs, but my blind cat did not try to jump it...she just wandered until she bumped into it and then either turned or stopped.

I have looked at green fencing and I like this idea but my cat still jumps 3 1/2 feet. So I need to go 4 feet or higher. Fencing on the internet of any kind jumps to 6-7 feet after 4 that I have found so far. I did find some good options but then they were mesh (he will get his claws in and hung up or stuck) or not removable each day for the evening. The other thing I mentioned is there is no shade in this area off my lanai so I will need to put a roof on it so it has to have the ability to do that. All these factors are limiting my options. I so wish I had a handy guy!! I have spoken to a few "handyman" companies-owners and they just look at me like I am crazy to do all this for a cat and blow it off. So discouraging.

From a window on the ground floor build a plate form outside. Next buy a small kiddy pool. Make holes on the bottom and fill it with dirt. Plant grass seed or sod. Around the whole area, you can fence it in with wire mesh or anything else. Since your car is blind, she will think she/he is outside in the yard while sitting in the grass in this enclosed area. You can also see about a dog run kit and again raise it to window height.

Don't make them high enough. Have to go to an enclosed kennel to get the height I need that he can't jump out of :-( TY for the input though.

Problem is I can't contain him in an area that small. He sits and screams at high pitches and disturbs the neighbors as he is not used to be contained. I tried a makeshift netting that was 50 x 30 and he did ok as he could roam. But netting can not be used as he will get his claws in it or pull it down. I just tried it to see how he did with the space allowed. I appreciate all the ideas as I know there will be an answer here soon. TY!
