I have water and sewer pipes and electric outlet in back of my washer and dryer. How do I disguise the mess?
I found a very nice "laundry-sink" cabinet at Lowes which came with the deep sink, faucets and 2 door cabinet. I loved it!!! Perfect update for my laundry room and took up no more room than the old one did, difference was a cabinet to the floor instead of those ugly legs. Hope this helps!
Hi, the cabinet idea is perfect. You may want to extend the cabinet the entire width of the area with cabinets for your detergent above. I would check ReStore - they have many lower and upper cabinet parts that could (with luck and perseverance) fit the area with much less cost. If the finish doesn't match - paint will work. You have white trim so painting the wood would work with that and be able to put color into the room.
Good Luck!
I'd put attractive shelving on the upper walls, maybe storage baskets on them. And build in the existing sink with a cabinet around it, covering up the legs and creating a counter for folding on the left side. You can even create a cubby for the cat box!
A deeper sink is not always the best option... but a wide single basin sink, like a farmhouse sink can be just as, or more practical. The area under the sink could be adapted with a roll out drawer like shelf to house the cat box. Put a small cat door on the open end and use frosted acrylic for light in the doors.... cat box accessible but out of the way (and the actual box can be any plastic basin or bin that fits.. I use a cement mixing tub for our 5 cats)
