Cowhide is a forgivable material. Mix Dawn dish sop in a bucket and fill with very warm water, making LOTS of suds. Sprinkle a little Baking Soda on the stain, then use a sponge to grab Dawn suds and scrub lightly. Let dry, then vacuum in the direction of the fur.
Hi Denise, For urine stain, I recommend making a solution with one-quarter cup of hydrogen peroxide, a half-cup of Baking Soda and one teaspoon of dish soap. Use a clean cloth to scrub this solution into the stain. Allow it to dry. If it's bad, you may need to repeat.
Finish off with a rinse it water and vinegar, to get rid of any lingering urine odor that will encourage another accident
I only know of using an enzyme based cleaner. I have found it's the only thing that works. It's never been a one time thing depending on how deep the urine soaked, etc. I'm not an expert, just using my own experience. OUT! brand has all different types; powder, spray, etc. Walmart has it-cheap.
My vet sells a special spray for this, check with yours.
