Some sort of seating is a must, along with a place to place snacks and beverages. If you have full sun exposure, consider a shade sail or umbrella. Choose kid friendly, low maintenance plants and flowers. If you are into grilling, some sort of bbq or gas grill and even a table and chairs. Consider lighting too for after dark enjoyment.
