Hi, I’ve seen crown and baseboard molding be ‘built up’ by addiing either a thin chair rail or 1/2” round molding a few inches above or beneath the main piece of molding. The wall is Painted with the same gloss paint as the crown or baseboard. It makes a huge difference! You could search for ‘how make baseboards or crown molding thicker or more dramatic’
