I have 3 sets of windows configured like this...very drafty, How to you winterize them? There is nothing in the corner to stick tape to. Thank you
caulk the trim around it, ridged foam or bubble wrap on the glass, and shrink wrap the patio doors. there are kits for patio doors.
Replace sealant strips. Caulk where you can. Use 'draft dodgers', those fabric bags filled with pea gravel or beans or packing peanuts or sand.
In order to tell if the weather stripping needs to be replaced, light a candle and carefully hold it around the door. If the flame flickers, the stripping may need to be replaced. It's easy to do and relatively inexpensive. It may save on your heating and cooling bills too. Best of luck to you.
I picked up some thicker and firmer weather stripping at Home Depot and used it on a sliding glass door. It worked like a charm, but I had to put quite bit more pressure when I closed the door in order to lock it.
Forgot to mention heavy drapes would keep the cold out too.
Thank you! I will try that.
Thank you😀
