ask at the local diner. No kidding. It’s gossip central. If you are in a smaller town there may be only one plumber. Check the phone book and see what companies are listed. Call and ask to check references.
You can check the local BBB. Also you may call the local plumbers union or building commission for references.
Google, Google Google! "How to find a plumber" try it . . . You can find almost anything and everything out by using Google (my preferred search engine), or any that you may prefer. I spend most of my day teaching people how to do research and/ or use search engines to their advantage.
