Hi JoEllen, the young ones tend to put their time and energy into getting larger. I have several old BIG bushes on my property that I prune every 3 years, the year after I prune them they tend not to bloom very much as they then seem to focus on their growth, but the next year they really put out the blossoms.
Plant food for acid loving plants. They like a lot of sun.

Hi JoEllen, pruning and getting rid of old or dead growth will help. Just cut the branches you don't want, or those that are dead. They do like a good watering now and lots of sun. If your soil is on the dry side, you can amend it by adding Miracle-Gro® Garden Soil for Trees & Shrubs. In the spring, feed them with a good tree and shrub fertilizer.
