How to permanently rid stink bug problem?

Windows are sealed, new windows. Not sure how they are getting inside. Nest-like accumulation in the outer area where window slides up/down. Cleaning it out periodically. How do you keep them from returning and nesting?

a simple, nontoxic brew of soapy water (1% to 2% soap to water) in a household spray bottle. "That will probably work as well as anything."
Look for "stink bug traps" on the internet--there are a few brands available.
I don't have an answer but we have them here in upstate NY - even in the dead of winter! Never had them before this year. I don't see any nests, can't figure out where they are coming from. I'm finding three or four a week. A couple of weeks ago the bathroom sink was clogged, I plunged it and lo and behold two dead stinkbugs! Wish I knew the answer.
