Hanging a door is or can be difficult to do if you have never done it before. My advice is get a carpenter to hang it for you..........
Measure the width of the opening in three places high, med, and low. Use the smallest measurement as your rough opening width. Measure from the top of the opening to the floor left and right sides, again, use the smallest dimension as your rough opening height. Look at the flooring and trim on what will be both sides of the door, determine what, if anything, needs to be removed or changed. Decide which side you want to be the hinged side. When you go to buy the door it cheapest to but a stock door already hanging in the frame. Custom sizing can get expensive, but a lot depends on how much you can do to plumb level, and finish the door install. Tne folks at the place where you are going to buy the door can help you with your size selection. I am sure you can find a You Tube video that can show you everything you need to know. This is not a one woman task you will need some help getting the door into place and it is good to have one gal read the bubble while the other one positions the shims.
