Home Depot carries a glue remover that is very effective, but quite caustic and burns skin immediately upon contact. use caution and keep children and animals away. Apply remover, let sit for a few minutes and use scraper to pick up glue and.remover. Keep lined trash can nearby to dispose of residue during removal process. I will post product here if I can locate on website.
Try goo-gone,with heat and a scraper
Be careful. If the tile you removed was 9" x 9" then most likely both the tile and adhesive contain asbestos.
