How do you get rid of lime stains?

I changed faucets from bronze to brushed nickel in my bathroom. The shower plate now is smaller and the previous plate left a stain. I’m having trouble getting rid of it. Any recommendations?
wrap a white vinegar soaked towel on it

Try Barkeepers Friend -- not the spray kind, but the cream. Leave on for about 30 mins and then use the Magic Eraser.
try white vinegar with baking soda, damp rag if that's a built up "edge" or a straight razor held at 45 degree angle. Could be plumber's sealer. I have found CLR Bath and Kitchen formula in bright yellow bottle really good at dissolving hard water stains.
