What could be the problem with our rhubarb?

Our rhubarb has always done well until last spring and it was very small & not producing big stalks, didn’t harvest much. Don’t know what the problem was, we thinned it out, which it didn’t seem it needed, but hopefully will be better this spring

is your Rhubarb planted in the ground? You need to fertilize rhubarb also, get an organic manure mixed fertilizer from local garden, Walmart, Lowes, but make sure its organic.
Did you give it plenty of manure and water well?
also maybe consider splitting the plant into 2 or 4 plants.
