How do I keep faux staind glass from getting scratched?

I have an interior back door that leads to my kitchen from my back entry. It has a full length 2' x 6' glass window leaving little for privacy. I want to faux stain glass the window. My problem is I have 2 small dogs that jump at the door whenever someone comes. Short of painting the back side of the glass and looking at the reverse side of the stained glass from inside, is there something I can put over the paint to protect it from them scratching it?

You can try a coat of clear sealer over the paint to give some protection.
You could put a piece of clear plexiglass over it to save the paint.
Center the stained glass above the distance the dogs can reach.
A piece of plexiglass up against the stain glass would protect and you can still enjoy the stained glass. Unfortunately both sealing and plexi may show ware eventually

No, but you’ve got a jumping dog. Even if there was something you could spray on for protection, eventually his/her nails are going to wear it off.
Cover with clear contact paper.
Or a thin sheet of plexiglass hung over stain glass portion of door
