Add used coffee grounds. Starbucks gives them away for free or use your own.
You need to barrow a shovel full or two of compost from an existing compost pile. That’s the better way, then there are packets of compost starters available...takes a bit longer.

By the way, I love my tumbler...hasn’t seen composting, but it works grate to mix my potting mix.
Any thing green or was once green can be composted....in the fall you can add the fallen leaves. Garden clean up. The dead plants. You do want a certain ratio of green to brown matter. It’s not floating tru my brain right now...the cats are demanding thier supper. I’ll let you look that up...
