My granddaughter received a lot of the LOL dolls. And once she got all the idems out of the balls you are left with these. What is some good ideas to do with them?
You could use them for the grandkids for little treats, like m and m's, a couple of the little snack sized candy bars, things like that. You could get the grandkids to make Christmas ornaments out of them when they are at your house to keep them busy. There are a lot of things you could make out of them once the gray matter catches a suggestion they like and could do. If they close tight, you could even use them to store the goo stuff the kids like these days or play dough, etc., even small craft or sewing supplies. Hope this starts the ideas for you!
Use them to hide Easter eggs in, as packaging for small gifts, Christmas ornaments for a tree outside, a mobile for a baby, hanging in the kids' window as decor either as is or after decorating with your grandkids.
I think they would look cute as miniature hot air balloons. Cover them with white paint, add some color accents and attach a miniature basket using some nice ribbon.
Perhaps an Advent project would be nice. Plywood tree shape, small hooks, mini gift inside each ball?
Maybe ornaments of 1/2 of each ball with photo or picture glued to front or a mini succulent planter? How about faces painted on each ball for fun ornaments, or 1/2 balls used for collages?
If they wouldn't crack, drill holes & use as closet pommanders or insert an LED light for lacey light balls on the Christmas tree?
Hope you find good reuse projects or pass them on to be reused by another crafter!
I'm sure you can paint them, but I'm not sure what kind of paint. If you take one to a craft store, they may be able to tell you, it seems like you can paint anything these days.
The idea of making the hot-air balloon is so cool! Another idea is to type up some inspirational words or phrases or just names and print out from your computer cut into small enough pieces and then ModPodge them the colorful objects.
How about individual storage containers for mini, vintage or antique Christmas ornaments? I always wrap them in bubble wrap &/or many sheets of tissue paper while praying they will survive until next year's festivities!
