Hello. Have you tried bar keepers friend? I use this to clean my pots, pans, and sink. It works great!

Bar Keepers Friend, a powder cleanser, should work.

Is it an electric percolator? If so, for the inside I would use a commercial product per directions. On the outside, yep, Barkeepers friend is great - it doesn't scratch but also be sure you use a non-scratch "scrubby" or cloth and rinse well (but carefully), then dry. If it's a stove-top coffee pot, you can use Barkeepers friend to clean inside and outside. This product keeps my 48 year old stainless steel pots and pans (purchased in 1969) looking like new.

Vinegar....run a cycle with white vinegar .put a filter in....Then run a cycle with clear water and filter. Calcium in coffee maker should be gone and making coffee will be faster. You can wash carafe in dishwasher also

If it is the inside of the pot you want to clean (mine goes really black with coffee stain) do the following: fill with boiling water, add a dishwasher pad, leave overnight and rinse. No scrubbing required.

Okay, I misunderstood what kind of coffee maker you had. You said percolator, I was thinking of the kind of coffee pots that I remember being used as a kid, LOL! (I'm 66 so that's going back a ways). The reason your carafe doesn't look clean on the inside is because of mineral build-up from hard water. A commercial produce you can try is Brew Rite Coffee Maker Cleaner (you can get it Amazon) , you could also try a CLR product (that's the brand name). Since you tried vinegar and water and it didn't work, I would use the commercial cleaner. If you have been cleaning the carafe in a dishwasher, the glass may have been permanently etched and there is no way to improve how it looks, even though it is clean. You can try finding a new carafe that will fit your coffee maker. If you want to clean the inside of the coffee maker, run a mixture of water and vinegar through a coffee making cycle and then run clear water through a coffee making cycle - minus the coffee in both instances!

Thank u ! But it's a stainless steel drip coffee maker from Mr. Coffee , it really never looks clean on the inside, it ha like a coffee stain inside of the carafe. I use baking soda everyday on the inside. It's not the hard water kind of stain( I know that one quite well😔) just coffee stain . Thanks again 😊

Marie from Canada's suggestion may work to remove the dark coffee stain then. As a default, try the barkeeper's friend, it won't scratch as long as you use a non-scratch scrubby. Be sure to rinse really well and dry. It might work - but if it doesn't, I don't think anything will remove the stain.
