Is it in upholstery or clothing? An old method for clothing is to soak it in milk. As for upholstery, best to get it steam cleaned to remove. Hope this helps.
Blood stains have proteins in them. Proteins that shrink up when hit with heat. Cold water soak in mild detergent. Rinse and repeat until stain is gone

I get results with Zout. You can also try an enzyme cleaner like Biz. Dry cleaners have a special compound they use for protein stains like blood, you might be able to buy some.
