round up in a spray bottle and direct it right on the dandelion.
Easy Peasy - Dig the dandelion out by the roots. Do not let the plant go to seed.
Dig it out at the root. Pour boiling water on it. Spray with vinegar. You will always be battling weeds of some sort, they are spread by wind, birds, and animals.
I've always used vinegar or salt directly on the weed
White vinegar!!! Kills them dead!!!
Dandelion leaves are a delicacy in Italy and most of the Mediterranean cooked or in salads. Unbelievable sauté only the leaves (looks like arugula) in olive oil and tiny dash red pepper & salt. yum!
And why is that 1st lady still using Round Up? Are you a Monsanto shareholder or just hate breathing all together? I’m being serious it’s a perfectly valid question.
Dig it up. Spray with plain white vinegar (5% store brand) with a tablespoon of 2 of salt, and a squirt of dishwashing liquid in a spray bottle. Spray in the morning on a hot day. They will be dead by afternoon. Will not hurt pets or other wildlife.
Put a heaping tablespoon of baking soda right in the middle of the plant. Don't get it on your lawn because it will kill the grass also. But the baking soda will kill the dandelion.
my yard is full of them right now. Not enough leaves to cook tho, just pretty little 3 in. tall yellow flowers.
pour boiling water on it
