Hi there, no just make sure to not turn the shower on or you will get wet :) You should be able to just unscrew the old shower head and screw on the new one!

No it’s really simple should just screw old one off and screw new one on.
We have never shut off the water, just make sure you don't turn on the water when the head is off! Make sure you use the tape that comes with it to assure a tight seal or buy some if it doesn't come with it.
Be sure to use plummers tape. Found in a hardware store or Lowe's, home depot. Keeps the shower head from leaking.
