white vinegar and waterer dab of blue dawn dish soap
I use ammonia water to wash and vinegar water to rinse. The vinegar helps to get rid of any dirty soapy residue.
Hot water and either vinegar or household ammonia will give you a streak free job.
gallon of water add 1/4 cup vinegar and 1/4 cup ammonia.
Use either vinegar or ammonia mixed with water. Don't use both vinegar and ammonia because they cancel each other out. One is acid the other is alkaline. Add alcohol to either one when washing outside windows in below freezing temps, or just use alcohol and water. About a quart of water to 1/4 cup of any of the above.
I have found for ease and convenience Zep glass cleaner from Home Depot to be the best out there.
I prefer window cleaning solutions with vinegar. Try this: In a spray bottle, mix 50% distilled vinegar (white) and 50% tap water. If very dirty, prewash with soapy water followed with the vinegar spray. Also, try rubbing hard with a cloth dipped in undiluted vinegar on tough spots For another take on window cleaning, go to https://www.familyhandyman.com/windows/how-to-wash-windows/view-all/
