Yes it does. They ensyms eat up some of the solids as best I know. It's been years since we got onto sewer, but 50 years ago when I built this house we had a septic tank and used that (or something like that). We also had it cleaned out once a year.

Yes, we lived in a house for 22 years that had a septic system. We had had a problem and were told by the man that came to fix our expensive problem, that we should have used rid-x. After that we used it and didn't have any more problems.
