Use the cleanser called BAR KEEPERS FRIEND.
Try Cerama Bryte, special for stove tops. Follow instructions and you should get it like new again.
Read the owners manual. If you no longer have it, you can find it on line. Try to wipe down the stove after each use or at least every night.
what does the manuel suggest for cleaning
Universal stone is what I use. Contrary to the name it will not harm the surface, since it is non-abrasive. It seems expensive, but I have been using the same paste for years, and I barely made a dent in it.

I used 409 and ceramic Clearner. If it’s still got spots I used a steel wool pad and ceramic Clearner again. Good luck.
take off the crusty thick debris off with a rezorblade and then use a CeramaBryte cooktop cleaner to finish the job
If you get burnt on gunk, use a clean safety razor blade with no knicks in it to scrape it off, wipe it off and continue cleaning. I have found that the more you wipe it, the more it looks smeared. My next stove, if I ever get one will be gas, like it so much better! Not so hard to clean and when you shut off a burner it is off, it doesn't stay hot forever.
Cremebrite and a razor blade. Then wash with Dawn and water and wipe dry.
That is a good possibility. Phone the manufacturer to see what you can do about it especially since it is new and you need to do something before the warranty runs out. Go on line to get the telephone number by entering the brand and model of stove.
