Out ice over wax to harden. Remove as much wax as you can with butter knife. Place DAMP white cotton towel over wax and press iron on hot setting on top, The wax should transfer to towel. Keep moving clean towel over remaining wax and repeat until the wax is out of carpet and onto towel. You can also use paper towels, but cotton is best. Good Luck
Place a brown paper bag over the spot and run hot iron over bag
I've always heard to get wax out of fabric: Lay a piece of brown paper bag over the wax area and then a hot iron on top of that. The heat will soften the wax and it should stick to the paper bag. Might take several passes rotating paper bag.
Make a stack of paper towels - place directly over the wax and apply a hot iron (no steam) and press until all of the wax is absorbed by the paper towels.
There's a great guide here - just use a paper bag and an iron! https://www.hometalk.com/diy/clean/carpet/how-to-get-wax-out-of-carpet-44824237
scape of what you can and then apply kitchen roll and a warm iron to melt the rest and draw it into the paper.
Start with freezing the wax with and ice cube or a freezer pack. with a dull knife scrape out as much as you can. Then take a warm iron (no steam) and iron paper towels or a brown paper bag (plain side down) and draw the wax out with that, check often.
Hi Jane: Use an ice cube to harden the wax and scrape as much of the wax off as you can. You may even use a comb to do this. Then, when you have all you can get off, put a paper towel on the area and use an iron to melt the rest. Be sure to start with a low heat so that you don't melt your carpet. You may have to do this several times, but it should work.
