Hi Shirlene, Yes, you absolutely can. We put vinyl tiles on top of old vinyl tiles when we moved into our house. If you are talking about ceramic tile, then I would say no. Best wishes.
you can put a ceramic tile over vinyl tile, but not the ceramic tile on ceramic.
You can, but any defects in the old tile will transfer through and you will see the outline in the new tile. We had to take all of the old tile up and even lay a new subfloor before laying new tile.
