I want to create a dry river bed to channel the spring and fall floods
I built my home in the middle of New England wet lands in the only dry space. No real yard. My brother and I built a boardwalk across the area that floods to reach the lot next to me that I bought. That lot is generally dry. Do I start with gravel, Landscape fabric, sand,or stone?

You need to figure out first where you want the water to go. This is a simple dry creek bed, but you can see clearly on this picture the channel that was dug in order to give the water a place to go.
