There may be different rules and regulations in your county or state. Click on the link below which will take you to a website that has contact information for you to learn about disposing of hazardous waste in your area. Good luck!

In the city of Mesquite, Tx, twice or more a year a huge recycle/disposal point is set up at one of the high schools. This is about the only way most people can legally dispose of old computers, fluorescent light bulbs, batteries, and other things we can’t put out for the weekly recycle trucks nor for the bi-weekly trash pickups. I hope you have something similar available. Check your city and county websites. ☺️
Hi Maria,
Where in Canada are you?
Do you have a Home Depot or Lowe's near you? Here in the US, both stores will recycle them for you. Also, our local land fill has a hazardous waste drop off site.
Our town dump site has an annual drive to recycle hazardous waste, as did my former hometown..... try calling your local dump/recycling site

Check with your local trash service. Many communities have an annual hazardous waste collection.
